In order to decide on a fitting magazine title, the group has conducted an audience study, so as to make sure that it resonated with the target audience. The study took place in the University Library and 45 young women participated. The magazine subject was briefly explained to all of them, and then they were asked to choose between Bad Wyfe and Miss Portrayed for the magazine name.
32 of them picked Miss Portrayed, whilst 13 chose Bad Wyfe, which helped the group greatly in taking the decision. Conducting this audience study ensured that the magazine name was approved by their potential readership: the 17-25 aged women with a clear idea of what they expected from this publication.
